60th Jubilarian
Sister Patricia Gloriod was born in Sullivan, Missouri. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1964 and was received into the novitiate in 1965. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and elementary education from Fontbonne College (now University), St. Louis, Missouri in 1969 and a master’s in education from Washington University, St. Louis in 1977.
Sister Patricia has spent 49 years in education. She began teaching at St. Rita School in St. Louis, in 1969-71. She taught in Marietta, Georgia at St. Joseph School. Returning to St. Louis, Sister Patricia taught at St. Gregory School in St. Ann from 1975-84 and Valle Grade School in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri in 1984-93.
In 1993, Sister Patricia began ten years of service in Hawaii teaching at St. Joseph School in Waipahu, Oahu.
She returned to St. Louis and taught at St. Vincent de Paul Grade School in Marthasville from 2003 until her retirement in 2018. Sister Patricia continues to volunteer.
