Associate Santa Cuddihee, CSJA

Santa Marie Cuddihee has been sharing an intentional community with Sister Linda Straub, CSJ, for over 20 years. Together, they engage in prayer, daily interaction and attend CSJ events. Santa Marie's journey with the Sisters of St. Joseph began when Ann Clifford invited her into the CSJ Associate program while she was serving on the faculty at St. Joseph Academy in St. Louis. Encouraged by Sisters Shawn Madigan and Linda, Santa Marie eventually sought formation as an associate.

Throughout her years as an associate, Santa Marie has been actively involved in various capacities. She has served on the Association Board, assisted Peggy Maguire, former director of association, in forming new associates, helped compose monthly reflections and continues to meet with the same Sharing of the Heart and House group.

Santa Marie was initially drawn to the Mission and Charism of the CSJs and continues to be attracted to living an intentional daily life. Her ministry primarily focuses on 'teaching' and 'presence.' She is blessed with a beautiful Italian family that supports and enjoys each other's company. Santa Marie is also a member of a book club and two prayer groups that faithfully meet every month. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, meeting for shared meals and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Currently, Santa Marie serves on St. Joseph Educational Ministries and volunteers at Rosati-Kain Academy. Reflecting on her experience, she shares, "Association is and has been a necessary part of my living for which I am grateful!"
