70th Jubilee
Sister Patricia was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1951 and was received into the novitiate in 1952 as Sister Patrick Marie. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Fontbonne University and a master’s degree in American studies/history and English from Boston College, a Jesuit University. She also holds a graduate certificate in gerontology from St. Louis University.
Sister Patricia dedicated 59 years of service to the St. Louis Archdiocese. Beginning in the 1950s, she served in education at a number of schools, including Immacolata, St. Luke, St. Barnabas, St. Margaret of Scotland and St. Louis Cathedral Schools. She served in administration during her time at St. Barnabas and St. Louis Cathedral Schools.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Sister Patricia worked as the human needs resource director at St. Margaret of Scotland, and later as the archivist for the St. Louis Province community. She also served as secretary to the director of volunteers at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, central file supervisor/archivist for the Sisters of Mercy Health System, and office assistant for Our Lady of Life Apartments.
In 1992, she began serving as the congregational archivist for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet at the Congregation Center. Sister Patricia retired in 2005, but continued to volunteer service in the St. Louis Province Archives as oral history interviewer throughout the province. She has resided at Nazareth Living
She enjoys watching college and professional football and baseball in each season.
She was also active in the Outreach Committee in her parish, St. Gerard Majella in Kirkwood, Missouri. She spent some time out of St. Louis caring for her parents in their need. She also spent one year at St. Joseph’s Academy in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
