Sister Linda was born in Jefferson City, Missouri. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1993 and was received into the novitiate in 1996. She received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Incarnate Word College in 1973 and a master’s degree in education administration from St. Louis University in 1994.
Sister Linda served as a teacher and principal in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas from 1972 to 2001. She served the following three years at the Salvation Army as an assistant to the Service Extension Department. This was followed by becoming a Research and Development Service administrative assistant at St. Louis University from 2006 to 2010.
Sister Linda served her CSJ community the next six years as a co-director for CORE, a CSJ service program for young women (2010-2012), and as a vocation director for the St. Louis province (2012-2016). During her time as the vocation director, she cofounded the Fiat House, which is an intentional living environment for young women in discernment.
From 2015 to 2020, Sister Linda was the director of Mission Stewardship at Fontbonne University. In 2018, she served in that role, as well as in campus ministry, part-time.
She retired in 2020 and currently volunteers in the Campus Ministry and Advancement Departments at Fontbonne University.
One ministry that Sister Linda really enjoys is being Jammin’ Josie, the DJ for gatherings of sisters and associates, providing entertainment at jubilee and anniversary celebrations of family and friends.
