25th Jubilarian
Diane Lind Dean shares her life with her 44-year-old son in Aurora, Colorado. Throughout her professional journey, Diane viewed her career not merely as work but as a mission divinely gifted to her.
As a healthcare professional, Diane holds the distinction of being the first nurse practitioner to be accepted and complete training at the Psychoanalytic Institute in Denver. Her 50-year career as a nurse practitioner in psychiatry blazed trails in Colorado, establishing pathways for nurses with similar training and education to practice independently.
In retirement, Diane remains an active community leader, serving on various boards and committees that govern her residential organization. Her civic engagement extends to political activities at the local, state and national levels.
Diane was drawn to the CSJ Associate program by a desire to deepen her connection to CSJ spirituality and participate actively. For her, the most meaningful aspect of being an associate has been learning to embody the CSJ charism in both her professional work and daily life.
For those considering becoming an associate, Diane recommends learning about the charism while finding a mentor to accompany them through the discernment process. She also encourages potential associates to become informed about the role associates play within the broader CSJ community.
