The crowd at Taste of Carondelet filled the first-floor hallways of the motherhouse and enjoyed foods from restaurants heralding CSJ ministries across the globe. Guests viewed historic and cultural artifacts and spoke with sisters about their international experiences.

But the event was more than delicious fare and history lessons. Our mission today was highlighted in the ministry presentation that topped off the evening.

Featured speakers Sisters Maureen Freeman, Kristina DeNeve and Patty Johnson, and Associate Cathy Hart, updated guests on their work and experiences with assisting migrants and asylum seekers at the border, supporting LGBTQ outreach, caring for creation and dismantling racism, while inviting them to be partners with us in these vital ministries and responding to the needs of our world today.

In her closing remarks, Sister Donna Gunn, Mission Advancement advisor, invited the guests to be a part of the mission as well. “We believe you have been chosen. You are being asked to help us read the signs of these times in whatever way your gifts lead you to do that,” she said.
