How long have you worked at the motherhouse?
I started on May 13, 2019.

What does your job entail?
My position revolves around events, meetings and overnight guests at the motherhouse. When I receive a hospitality request, I record the details of the request and relay any IT, dietary, or set-up accommodations to the director of that area. I keep our calendars up to date so everyone in the motherhouse is aware of events and guests coming. I help in preparing signage to notify guests of their assigned room or meeting space. I also work closely with the wonderful sisters who welcome guests into the motherhouse at the front desk.

Tell us about your family.
I come from a family of five. My mom and dad, Lee and Pete, raised my older sister, Heather, my twin brother, Jake, and me in Old Town Florissant in North St. Louis County. My sister and her husband made me an aunt in October of last year when they had baby William. That has been the roller coaster our family has been on over the past nine months and we LOVE him!

My hobbies are...
For the past four years, I've enjoyed returning to my high school, Trinity Catholic, as varsity softball coach. I have a very close group of friends and we go on weekend trips often, mostly to the Lake of the Ozarks. Being a recent college graduate, I am being re-introduced to the concept of free time, so I am still finding new ways to fill it.

It would surprise people to learn...
My twin brother, my cousin, my best friend and I were all born on the exact same day. My grandparents went from having one grandchild to four in less than three hours.

I enjoy working for/with the CSJs because...
I have never seen a group of people so sincerely and selflessly support each other than I have over the past few months. The energy here is warm and welcoming. It has been a blast so far!

Did you know about the Sisters of St. Joseph before working here? If yes, how?
In May, I graduated from Fontbonne University. During my four years there, I was introduced to the mission of the CSJs. Because I was a commuter and worked through college, I didn’t get the chance to go to many of the CSJ-sponsored events at Fontbonne. Being able to learn about the history and mission of the CSJs has been amazing.

What special moments have you experienced during your time here thus far?
I have gotten the chance to welcome a lot of outside organizations into the motherhouse. One of the coolest groups I've gotten to work with so far was St. Teresa’s Academy from Kansas City. It was a great group of young girls. The sisters here loved having them and sharing their house and history with the young women. The many social events I was able to assist with and attend during the congregational chapter were so much fun. I was able to meet many incredible CSJs from around the country.

How can people contact you?
If you are interested in a meeting space or guest room at the motherhouse, you can contact me at 314-678-0478 or [email protected]. It would be my pleasure to assist in any way that I can.
