Meet Our Kansas City Regional Coordinator

Greene
Associate Jennifer Greene

By Associate Mary Armbrust, Director of Association

The Associate Leadership Board (ALB) is happy to announce the regional associate coordinator for Kansas City, Associate Jennifer Greene. Regional coordinators are volunteers that serve associates within their region in collaboration with Director of Association Mary Armbrust. Their work is to support the unique ways of initial formation, ongoing spiritual formation, and living out the charism in their own communities. Get to know a bit about Jennifer as she shares about her life, work and what she brings to the regional coordinator position.

My Life in Kansas City
I was born and raised in Kansas City (KC). I've spent my whole life here, except for the three years I lived on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I went to Bishop Miege High School and earned a bachelor of arts in education at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. I loved growing up in KC and have found it to be the perfect place to raise my family.

How I Became an Associate
To be honest, I entered formation because I thought it was part of my job as director of Service and Campus Ministry at St. Teresa’s Academy (I now teach theology full-time). And, boy, am I glad I made that mistake!

I'm writing this after spending the weekend in St. Louis at the Federation Event 2022. It is the sisters’ thirst for social justice as a result of practicing the CSJ charism that I experienced there and witnessed back when I started at St. Teresa's. It made me want to complete formation and live out my own faith life in Association.

The Gifts I Bring to the Regional Coordinator Position
My love for both the CSJs and my time with Association is my strongest gift. I am most looking forward to helping strengthen the broader KC associate community so we can come together to support each other as we live out our commitment to the CSJ charism.
