Fall FUNdrive: Meet Team Retirement

CSJ FU Ndrive FB team captain retirement v1

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet have always responded to the needs of the times. This year's Fall FUNdrive focuses on four projects that are critical to sisters doing MORE and meeting the needs of the world today. Click here to learn more about the FUNdrive and how you can help the Sisters of St. Joseph continue to relieve the world's hunger for spirituality and community, and to provide service to the dear neighbor.

Meet Team Retirement

Team Captain: Sister Pat Dunphy

The Sisters of St. Joseph have worked in schools, hospitals, social services, etc. We were sent forth
to do what our founder asked: respond to the dear neighbor – without distinction.

Most places paid sisters very low salaries – certainly not the equivalent salaries paid their lay partners.
As a result, sisters’ average Social Security benefit is $670 a month.

Our older, frailer sisters residing at Nazareth Living Center need your help.

Donating to this team will:

  • provide health and wellness services
  • maintain funds for housing
  • expand important amenities
  • supply audio headsets in the Nazareth chapel

Click here to join and support Team Retirement, and make your donation. Our goal is to raise $30,000. If this project meets or exceeds its fundraising goal, all the members of this team will be eligible for a drawing for a $2,000 Amazon gift card, funded in part by Zielinski Companies, Inc.

You can also choose to support one or more of the other three critical projects: Team Retirement, Team Relevance and Team Future.

Together, with your help, we can be MORE, do MORE and help MORE, because together…we are MORE.

Meet Sister Pat Dunphy

S. Pat’s career includes serving as a teacher, principal, and administrator at the elementary and high school levels in St. Louis, Kansas City, Texas and Colorado. Since 2015, she has served as the community life co-coordinator at Nazareth Living Center.

“When you live life to respond to the needs of the times, your work is never done. The work of the CSJs is never done. I am leading the FUNdrive retirement team effort so we can ensure retired sisters’ needs are met so we can continue our important work of prayer and service.”
