Team Captain: Sister Mary Flick
Society is in a time of great transformation. So is religious life. Every sister will tell you that the way religious life has been lived in the past is not the way our newer members will live their lives as women religious.
Does this mean religious life is dying?
Far from it. We are called to be even more attentive to the signs of the times. Everywhere there is a hunger for spirituality. Collectively, we face an unknown and inviting future.
Donating to this team will:
- establish new ways to share our spirit and values with our lay partners-in-mission, especially at our sponsored institutions.
- design programs and practices that share the CSJ spirit to ensure serving the dear neighbor – without distinction as a way of life for our lay colleagues as they partner with our sisters.
- create new opportunities for our lay colleagues to develop practices of reflection and prayer that will provide the confidence and commitment to move forward.
Meet Sister Mary Flick
Sister Mary serves as formation coordinator for St. Joseph Educational Ministries, working with its members to ensure the Catholic identity and CSJ values at the province’s five educational institutions. She also serves as province justice coordinator, vocation core team member and spiritual director.
“I am honored to lead the future team. Today’s world events show us we must keep moving forward, finding new possibilities and new ways of sharing the CSJ charism of unifying love with our friends and partners in mission, as well as our dear neighbors in need.
