Inspired by the Holy Spirit of Love, a Sister of St. Joseph moves toward profound love of God and love of neighbor.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet have always responded to the needs of the times. This year's FUNdrive focuses on three projects that are critical to sisters doing more with their mission and meeting the needs of the world today. Click here to learn more about the FUNdrive and how you can help the Sisters of St. Joseph continue to relieve the world's hunger for spirituality and community, and to provide service to the dear neighbor.

Meet Team Retirement

Fuel the Spirit

Team Captain: Sister Mary Louise Basler

In 1650, our sisters broke away from traditional religious cloistered life and divided the city into different sections to explore the needs of all people including orphans, prisoners, the sick and the poor.

Break from the traditional mold we did—becoming educators, healthcare professionals, spiritual and social justice leaders, and MORE. Even as our sisters retire, our work is not done. Our sisters continue to volunteer and pray, never ceasing to bring Jesus’ words of love and unity to the world.

Donating to this team will provide the following for our sisters:

  • long-term housing
  • health and wholeness care
  • recreational activities
  • transportation services
  • support for senior needs
  • spiritual growth opportunities

Click here to join and support Team Retirement, and make your donation. Our goal is to raise $40,000. If this project meets or exceeds its fundraising goal, all the members of this team will be eligible for a drawing for a $1,000 Amazon gift card, funded in part by Zielinski Companies, Inc.

You can also choose to support one or more of the other two critical projects: Team Social Justice and Team Motherhouse.

Come together because together ... we are more.

Meet Sister Mary Louise

Sister Mary Louise is always on the go. She served the retired Sisters of St. Joseph for many years as a member of  the Community Life Staff/Health and Wholeness Team at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

“There is no ‘tire’ in retirement for a Sister of St. Joseph! We all continue to serve the dear neighbor in prayer and service as we are able. Can there be a more blessed way to serve?”
