Sister Mary Adelaide Moeller

Sister Mary Adelaide Moeller was born in St. Louis, entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1948, and was received into the novitiate as Sister Regina Agnes in 1949. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Fontbonne College in 1959 and a master’s degree in history/modern Europe from St. Louis University in 1963.

Sister Mary Adelaide has served 70 years of ministry in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. She served in elementary education her first 20 years, teaching at St. Mary Magdalene, Notre Dame and St. Jude in the 1950s; and at All Saints, St. Edward, St. Matthew and Saints Mary and Joseph in the 1960s. She taught and was an administrator at St. Louis Cathedral School in the early 1970s.

For 33 years, Sister Mary Adelaide served as a pastoral minister at Saints Mary and Joseph Parish.

She was the receptionist at St. John the Baptist Parish from 2005 to 2013.

Sister Mary Adelaide retired in 2013. She resides at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis continuing her ministry in prayer and presence.
