Sister Patricia was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1951 and was received into the novitiate in 1952 as Sister Patrick Marie. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Fontbonne University and a master’s degree in American history from Boston College. She also holds a graduate certificate in gerontology from St. Louis University.
Sister Patricia has 59 years of dedicated service in the St. Louis Archdiocese. During her 20 years in education, she taught at various schools the 1950s through the 1970s such as Immacolata, St. Luke, St. Barnabas, St. Margaret of Scotland and St. Louis Cathedral Schools. She served in administration during this time at St. Barnabas and St. Louis Cathedral Schools.
In the 1980s and 90s, worked as the human needs resource director at St. Margaret of Scotland; the archivist for the St. Louis Province community; the secretary to the director of volunteers at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood; the central file supervisor/archivist for the Sisters of Mercy Health System; and office assistant for Our Lady of Life Apartments.
In 1992, she began serving the as the congregational archivist for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet at the Congregation at the Center. Siser Patricia retired in 2005, but continues volunteer service in the St. Louis Province Archives as oral history interviewer.
She is also is also active in the Outreach Committee in her parish, St. Gerard Majella in Kirkwood, Mo. Sister resides at the St. Joseph Academy Convent in Frontenac.
