S. Mary Ann Lavin

Sister Mary Ann Lavin, CSJ

 

Biographical:

Sister Mary Ann Lavin was born in Kansas City, Missouri, entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1949 and was received into the novitiate in 1950 as Sister Evelyn Paul. She received a bachelor’s degree in art from Fontbonne College in 1965 and a master’s degree in theology from St. Mary University, San Antonio in 1973.

 

Service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:

In the 1950s and 1960s Sister Mary Ann taught at Nativity School and St. Mary School.

 

Service outside the Archdiocese: 

Sister taught in Missouri and Texas, including 30 years at St. Teresa’s Academy in Kansas City.

 

About Sister Mary Ann Lavin, CSJ:

Since 2004 Sister Mary Ann has resided at Nazareth Living Center in South County where she continues to carry out her ministry of prayer and witness.
