Sister Margaret Cozzens, CSJ
Biographical:
Sister Margaret Cozzens was born in St. Louis, entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1934 and was received into the novitiate in 1935 as Sister Catherine Tekakwitha. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from the College of St. Teresa in 1957.
Service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:
Sister Margaret taught at St. Margaret of Scotland in 1937. From 1974-1996 she served at Cardinal Ritter Institute as a nurse in family nursing; a nurse in home health care and a residential care manager.
Service outside the Archdiocese:
Sister has served in education and nursing in Colorado, Alabama, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
About Sister Margaret Cozzens, CSJ:
Sister retired in 2000. Since 2006 Sister Margaret has resided at Nazareth Living Center in South County where she continues to carry out her ministry of prayer and witness.
