S. Jean Vianney Mindak
Sister Jean Vianney Mindak, CSJ
Biographical:
Sister Jean Vianney Mindak, baptized Dorothy, was born in St. Louis. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1949 and was received into the novitiate in 1950. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fontbonne College in 1957, and a master’s degree in elementary education administration from St. Louis University in 1974.
Service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:
Sister Jean Vianney taught at numerous schools in the archdiocese from the 1950s to the 1970s: Holy Name School, Sts. John & James School, and St. Thomas the Apostle School. In the 1980s she served on the faculty at Fontbonne College. She served as the education director in the Catholic Education Office from 1979 to 1983. Sister also served her CSJ community in the province finance department in the 1970s.
Service outside the Archdiocese:
Sister has served in Hawaii, Georgia, and Colorado.

Sister Jean Vianney retired in 2002 and is currently in volunteer ministry in Denver, Colorado.
