S. Dorothy Mary Meirink
Sister Dorothy Mary Meirink, CSJ
Biographical:
Sister Dorothy Mary Meirink was born in Belleville, Illinois. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1950 and was received into the novitiate in 1950 as Sister Mary Maurice. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Fontbonne College in 1961.
Service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:
Throughout Sister Dorothy Mary’s 40 years of service in education, she taught at numerous schools in the archdiocese. Beginning in the 1950s through the 1990s she taught at the following schools: Holy Rosary School, St. Margaret of Scotland, Holy Guardian Angels School, St. Mary School, Nativity School, St. Adelbert School, and St. Anthony Grade School. Sister served her CSJ community as the assistant archivist for the St. Louis province from 1994-2006.
Service outside the Archdiocese:
Sister has served in Colorado and Texas.
About Sister Dorothy Mary Meirink, CSJ:
Since 2006 Sister Dorothy has resided at Nazareth Living Center in South County where she continues to carry out her ministry of prayer and witness.
