Sister Constance was born in St. Louis, Mo. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1951 and was received into the novitiate in 1952 as Sister Mary Doris. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fontbonne University in 1960.
Sister Constance was a career educator, teaching at schools in Hawaii, Denver and Missouri, including St. Thomas of Aquin, All Saints, and St. Edward schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis in the 1950s and 60s.
Her service in St. Louis included nearly 20 years as the audio visual coordinator/librarian for St. Francis de Sales Holy Rosary School, St. Gregory, St. Adalbert and St. Anthony of Padua schools.
From 1997-2005, Sister Constance worked in the Development Office for the St. Louis province. Since 2006, Sister Constance continues her ministry of volunteer service at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis.
