60th Jubilee
Sister Clairerita was born in St. Joseph, Mo. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1951 and was received into the novitiate in 1952 as Sister Alan Margaret. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Avila College in 1957.

Sister Clairerita dedicated 40 years of service to nursing.

She began in the 1950s at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.,  served as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood. Mo. in the 1960s, followed by positions in Michigan and New York.

In 1975, she returned to St. Joseph's in Kansas City. In the 1980s, she was a nurse at Heartland Hospital East in St. Joseph.

In 1992, she returned to St. Louis at  Nazareth Living Center as a nurse and a cook. She also provided home care to the elderly through CSJ Care.

Sister Clairerita retired in 2007 and recently moved to Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis where she continues her ministry of prayer and witness. She also enjoys sewing and quilting.
