S. Ann Chamblin

Sister Ann Chamblin, CSJ

 

Biographical:

Sister Ann Chamblin was born in St. Louis.  She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1949 and was received into the novitiate in 1950 as Sister Robert Ellen.   She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Fontbonne College in 1956.

 

Service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:

Sister Ann served in parish ministry and religious education at Holy Name Parish and at Blessed Sacrament Parish in the 1970s and 1980s.

 

She began an eldercare home agency, Sister Ann's Elder Care, in 1995. She then founded CSJ Care in 1997, a ministry staffed by different religious communities which provides home care to elder persons to extend their independence.

 

Service outside the Archdiocese: 

Sister has served in Missouri, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois

 

About Sister Ann Chamblin, CSJ:

She retired in 2005 and is serving as a hospitality liaison for the province motherhouse in south St. Louis.
