60th Jubilee

 

Sister Mary Ann was born in Beech Grove, Ind.  She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1952 and was received into the novitiate in 1953 as Sister Ann Miriam. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fontbonne College in 1962.  Sister Mary Ann has also studied at different universities throughout the country, enhancing her ministry experiences. 

Sister Mary Ann began her ministry teaching at Saints John and James Grade School in 1955. In the 1970s, she served as pastoral minister at Holy Name Parish. She also served her CSJ community as director of ongoing formation at the St. Joseph Provincial House in the 1980s.  

Sister Mary Ann also served in Hawaii and Michigan.

Since 1989 Sister Mary Ann served as pastoral minister at Sacred Heart Parish in Troy, Mo.  In 2004 Sister Mary Ann was chosen by the Chamber of Commerce in Troy as Woman of the Year.  She was also honored to receive the Friend of the Auction Award at Sacred Heart School. 

In the care of the dear neighbor Sister Mary Ann’s heart is always open to the needs of others doing all in God’s great love.
