AVOID THE USE OF PLASTIC: The most important thing to understand about plastic is that there is no such thing as "away" when it comes to plastics. When people say "Oh just throw it away", where precisely is "away"? Just because it's no longer in our home, in our work place or in our car does not mean its "away" it just means we no longer have to view on a daily basis and its somewhere else on this planet. Out of sight out of mind, and not our problem?

TOXIC TOWNS: Big oil corporations like Exxon Mobil, BP and Chevron are busy polluting Louisiana -- This is a reminder that next Wednesday June 2nd at 8pm EST, CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta will be airing an hour-long investigative story into the environmental health and justice problems plaguing the community of Mossville, Louisiana. Mossville is not an isolated example, but instead a poster child for a broken chemical safety system.
Mossville is also a posterchild for the PVC chemical industry's pollution, as PVC plants are disproportionately located in low-income communities and communities of color, making the production of PVC a major environmental justice concern for neighboring residents.
Here's what you can do:
-Have your friends over to watch the show on June 2nd.
-Print out some fact sheets on PVC to distribute.
-Tune in on Wednesday June 2nd at 8pm EST - Toxic Towns, USA: Watch Dr. Sanjay Gupta's Toxic Towns on CNN and stand in solidarity with the community of Mossville, and all communities impacted by the PVC chemical industry.
