Winter Outreach Opportunity

WINTER OUTREACH NEEDS

With the weather being so very cold the homeless population and those with no electricity are truly suffering. The city has been willing to open up a few centers as they have done in the past years to give shelter for the overnight hours.

Winter Outreach goes out every night to find those living on the street, invite them to take to shelters. give hot drinks, sandwiches and furnish blankets, winter coats, hats and gloves.

These are the items that are needed:
• blankets
• sleeping bags
• wool socks
• winter gloves
• winter hats
• wool scarfs
• winter coats

If anyone has any of these items they can part with they can take to Centenary Church at 1610 Olive, to Karen Catholic Worker House at 1840 Hogan (corner of Hogan and N. Market) or contact Diana Oleskevich, justice coordinator for the Sisters of St. Joseph, at 314-678-0317 or doleskevich.@csjsl.org.
