St. Teresa's Academy Student Earns Top ACT Score

Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet | Shelby Hawkins Earns Top Act Score

Kansas City, MO—Shelby Hawkins, a junior at CSJ-sponsored St. Teresa’s Academy, earned a top composite score of 36 on a recent ACT test.

Nationally, while the actual number of students earning a composite score of 36 varies from year to year, less than one--tenth of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. Among test takers in the high school graduating class of 2012, only 781 of more than 1.66 million students earned a composite score of 36.

Recognizing this exceptional achievement, St. Teresa’ Academy President Nan Bone said, “We are so proud of Shelby and her incredible accomplishment. Her exceptional ACT composite score will be extremely helpful as she pursues her goals in higher education and eventual career.”
