Sister Jeanne Janssen Accepts Mission Award

Sister Jeanne Janssen, CSJ, accepted the 2010 United States Catholic Mission Award on behalf of the Columban Mission Education Program in recognition for excellence and creativity in mission education and promotion.

Sister Jeanne is the director of mission education for the Missionary Society of St. Columban. She accepted the award with Father Arturo Aguilar, the U.S. Regional Director of the Columban Fathers.

Jeanne gathers and puts together the stories of missioners in such a way that the spirit and commitment to mission shines through each article. Readers can learn about mission and be inspired to actively share that mission-spirit."

The award was presented at the 2010 United States Catholic Mission Congress “God’s Mission, Many Faces: A Portrait of U.S. Catholics in Mission” held in Albuquerque, New Mexico at which 400 delegates  from all over the world gathered to discern, discover, invigorate and celebrate U.S. Catholics in mission.
