Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Ann Jones (S. Ann Rosinda) who passed away on October 13 of cancer at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis, MO. She was 85 years old.

S. Ann was born on March 23, 1925 to Thomas and Bernice Jones in Muskogee, Okla. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet on September 15, 1947, and made her final vows on August 15, 1953. S. Ann was a Sister of St. Joseph for 62 years.

She received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the College of St. Teresa in Kansas City, Mo. in 1947. She also received her master's in education from St. Louis University in St. Louis in 1957 and in theology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.

From 1950-1960, S. Ann taught at the intermediate and junior high level at St. John Grade School in Ishpeming, Mich.; All Saints and St. Mary Magdalen grade schools both in St. Louis, and St. Gregory Grade School in St. Ann, Mo. Then, for the next eight years, she was a member of the faculty at Fontbonne University in St. Louis.

In the late 1960s, S. Ann switched gears and was director of the House of Prayer in Chicago, and the House of Prayer and Carondelet House of Prayer, both in St. Louis. She then moved on to be a member of the renewal team at the St. Louis province from 1971-1974. Over the next few years, S. Ann served in pastoral ministry in Kansas City and St. Louis.

In 1988, S. Ann worked as an assistant administrator at St. Joseph Academy Convent. She returned to Kansas City in 1989 and served there in various positions until her retirement at Nazareth Living Center in 1998.

S. Ann donated her body to the St. Louis University Medical Center. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Nazareth Living Center Chapel, 2 Nazareth Lane, St. Louis, MO 63129.
