An afternoon of “Radical Grace,” will be hosted by seven communities of women religious on:

Sunday, May 1, 2-4:30 p.m.

at St. Joseph’s Academy Auditorium
2307 South Lindbergh Blvd
Frontenac, MO 63131

"Radical Grace,” the documentary film which follows the call of three women religious to embody a faith which does justice, will be shown.  

A panel of local sisters who will share how they live radical love, mercy and grace in their ministries of serving people on the margins.

Panelists are: Sister Jean Abbott, CSJ, a trauma therapist and founder of the Center for Victims of Torture and War Trauma; Sister Margaret O’Gorman, FSM, spiritual director and minister to LGBT persons; and Sister Sharon Schmitz, RSM, a minister to incarcerated women and an advocate for restorative justice. 

A conversation between panelists and the audience will close the afternoon.

The event is sponsored by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ; Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help; Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word; Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, South Central Community; the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood; the Society of the Sacred Heart; and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
