"Bright Wings, Beams of Love" by Mary Southard, CSJ

The Wisdom of Diversity

Seeking Wisdom through listening, communicating and

managing conflict in the midst of differences.

Presented by Sister Suzanne Giblin, CSJ

suzannegiblinThrough a generous grant from the Conrad N. Hilton fund, an international team of Sisters of St. Joseph have developed a curriculum for cultural diversity and conflict management that will be offered globally. Presenter Sister Suzanne attended the first session and is now an official curriculum trainer. Over the next three years, this program will be offered 15 times in various locations in the United States by the five US sisters attending this program. Sisters who are formators, newer members and those who live with them are encouraged to attend.

The curriculum will focus on non-violence, living interculturally in community and mediating cultural conflicts. Our goal is to develop skills to mediate conflict, live non-violently, and foster communities of peace, respect and reconciling love.

Sister Suzanne has an MA in theology and is certified in pastoral theology and spiritual direction. Her current ministry is director of pastoral care of senior adults.
