That Sugar Film is one man’s journey to discover the bitter truth about sugar. Damon Gameau embarks on a unique experiment to document the effects of a high sugar diet on a healthy body, consuming only foods that are commonly perceived as ‘healthy’. Through this entertaining and informative journey, Damon highlights some of the issues that plague the sugar industry, and where sugar lurks on supermarket shelves. That Sugar Film will forever change the way you think about ‘healthy’ food.

About the JustEarth Film Festival
The Just Earth Film Festival for sisters and associates will resume in 2017. The festival, which began in September, presents a selected film each month to help inform our action on behalf of the Earth community and invites us to reflect on aspects that include our love for the natural world, fair food, and the future of our planet.

A film will be shown twice on the third Wednesday of each month, January through May, at 1-2:30 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m., at the Carondelet Motherhouse. A brief discussion will follow each film. The festival continues on Feb. 15 with The Sugar Film.
