The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet have been in the United States since 1836 and are one with all Sisters of Saint Joseph who claim a common origin in the foundation of our order at LePuy, France, in 1650. The congregation is comprised of more than 1600 vowed sisters and more than 500 other women and men who share the sisters’ mission called associates, consociates, ohana and familia de San José.

The Congregation Leadership Team serves from the headquarters at the Congregational Center located in St. Louis. 

The congregation consists of four provinces: AlbanyLos Angeles (which includes a region of Japan), St. Louis, and St. Paul and vice provinces: Hawaii, and Peru.
