50th Jubilee

Sister Regina Bartman was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1966 and was received into the novitiate in 1967. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1964.

Sister Regina taught elementary school in St. Louis, at Immacolata Grade School in 1968, followed by two years at St. Thomas the Apostle.

For nearly 40 years, Sister Regina ministered in pastoral service roles. From 1971-1980, she was the pastoral assistant at St. Matthew the Apostle Parish in St. Louis. After attending St. Louis University’s Institute of Religious Formation, she served at St. Therese Little Flower Parish in Kansas City, Missouri, in emergency assistance until 1986.

She returned to St. Matthew the Apostle in St. Louis, dedicating the next 23 years to the parish as pastoral associate.

Sister Regina retired in 2013 in St. Louis and continues to serve in volunteer ministry. She enjoys making a vegetable garden and playing bridge.
